Compassion Mission Trip Registration and Information
The registration includes signup and start of clearances.
It does NOT include the $300 non-refundable registration fee which must be provided directly to Living Hope Community Church.
Key Living Hope payment dates:
Deadline is December 20 – Living Hope Community Church pays registration fees to Compassion – $300 per person
Feb 24 – Compassion bills Living Hope Community Church for final travel balances.
Estimated trip cost is $2,400 per person IF we have 10 people.
Trip cost includes airfare, al in country expenses, background checks, and emergency medical coverage (but traveler must pay, then file later for claim).
It does not include:
– our costs for our service project (we will need to plan, run and provide all VBS materials).
– trip cancellation insurance.
– transportation cost for children to Fun Day (should be minimal)
– passport, vaccinations, meals en-route, visas (I recall there is a $10 per person entry fee?, checked bag fees, souvenirs, etc)
Age Restrictions for Registration:
ages 13-15 yrs. old can travel with one parent ratio 1:1
16-17 yrs. old can travel in a 5:1 ratio student to guardian
18 yrs. old is considered an adult.
Trip info to be provided
Trip Books will be delivered about eight weeks in advance which provides logistical and spiritual support for pre-trip, during, and post-trip. The detailed trip itinerary will be sent about one month in advance.

Breakfast at hotel/ Staff Retreat and Volcano visit/ Lunch/ 3pm Staff retreat Wraps up and return to hotel in Chinendega/ Dinner back in Chinandega

Q: What if I do not yet have a passport?
A: If you do not currently have a passport, you can still complete the registration.
Q: To whom do I send the registration fee of $300?
A: Please send money to Living Hope Community Church via check, cash, or PushPay.
Q: In the Registration I need to choose what type of traveler I am — what should I select?
A: Select either Sponsor or Non-sponsor.
Q: What is the deadline for having my registration and registration payment?
A: The deadline is December 20, 2019.

* In order for your registration process to progress smoothly, it will be helpful for you to have your passport (if you have one), Compassion sponsorship, health (including medications) information and emergency contacts ready to enter into the system. There will be three drop down options for you to choose from in the “Registration Type” field on the first screen. Please choose Sponsor if you have a sponsored child, or Non-Sponsor if you don’t sponsor a child with Compassion. Your church’s Group Facilitator, Diane Gleaton, is the only person to choose Group Facilitator.
IMPORTANT: The name information submitted during the registration process is the name Compassion uses to book airline tickets. All names must be entered exactly as they appear on your passport. Any name change or correction will result in an airline fee charge to you. If you currently do NOT have a passport, you can still complete the registration.
After you submit your registration, you will receive a Registration Confirmation email. Please read this email immediately for instructions on how to complete your background check and travel release. These pieces are required to secure your registration.
